Here, he’s back again. Our old friend-Salmonella. He’s that guy who suddenly calls you in the middle of the night and says “Hey, uh, got three hundred dollars I can borrow? You know I’m good for it.” This is, of course, untrue.

We all have different names from our breasts, some of us call them our “boobs,” our “tits,” or as Marisa C. Weiss refers to them in her book, our “girls.” Growing up, we have all heard different names for the strange objects the hang from our chests, but I’m sure that all girls can identify with the confusion of how exactly to deal with our changing bodies during puberty and how to actually take care of our girls.

When people hear the words tap water, the first words that come to mind are usually, “dirty,” sink,” “pipes,” and, “nasty.” Perhaps this is the reason that bottled water is consumed largely around the entire country.

NEW YORK– School children flooded into the Amazonia Brasil exhibit on Pier 17, a 13,000 square foot miniature recreation of the Amazon, a region which in reality spans two million square miles (nearly 5 percent of the Earth’s surface) and is home to an estimated 180 indigenous groups (of which, approximately 70 have never had contact with the outside world).

Let’s say you’re dating a guy, and you’ve discovered that he’s just not that bright, lacks an element of bling, isn’t a gem to hang out with, and– in sum– he’s just not working out to be “forever” material. No sense in trying to change his habits, ladies– that never works.

It was a dark and starry night in Prospect Park at 10pm last Tuesday, and I decided that I was in the mood for a jog. Parks in Brooklyn are not always the safest places to spend time after the sun goes down, but I pay attention to my surroundings and stay along the edge of the park, so it’s not so bad (my mother disagrees).

Last week, my family and I took a trip to Canada’s Niagara’s Falls, and I can honestly say that when I returned to the States that I was completely satisfied with my experience. The Falls were as beautiful and as frighteningly powerful as I could’ve ever dreamed them to be and the attractions that allowed us to journey close to the falls were amazing. One of the first attractions that we did once we arrived on Canada’s side of the falls was to take the Maid of the Mist boat …
