They say its because its too dangerous, but I don't think that is the real reason. I think trying to learn on my own is far more dangerous than having someone teach me. I think the real reason is job protection. They don't want the competition. I don't care any more though. I've done enough research and watched enough acts to know how its done. Now I just practice + practice + practice. To the sword swallowing community at large I have one thing to say, I hope you choke!
