Hi Jane,

After hearing the presidential debate last night and hearing on WNYC that thousands of acres in New York State have been leased for natural gas drilling, I hope I can convince you to look into this more and maybe write something about it. New York State's water is one of its best and most precious assets, and the drilling could contaminate the entire aquifer. The government is currently conducting an environmental investigation into this and is set to make a decision this spring. This really troubles me and needs to have as much attention as possible drawn to it.

Thanks, Miriam
