I hear what you are saying about naming things. I am a huge proponent of Gaia Hypothesis. It is an extraordinarily elegant and meaningful theory that has made many useful predictions and provided us with helpful perspectives (I would say more advanced perspectives) in dealing with many problems environmental, global and extraterrestrial but that new age hippie sounding name seems to have permanently banned it from any socially acceptable discourse.

I think this link will sum up nicely the attitude of your typical Feaux News Viewer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTR-xzA8xLk

The unexpected and wry pathway this writing takes -- winding from conflicting interpretations of last week's snowstorm and global warming to the importance of names -- shows the writer's promising ability to synthesize, analyze, and make sense. So logical! I totally enjoy this blog and look forward to more!
